impose some kind of AWB, sink the American population into a more severe debt then impose a cash for guns program where you can turn over your firearm to a police department or whomever and receive a check. You might not think so but this would remove a huge chunk of firearms from circulation in as little as 5 years. You might say it wouldnt remove enough, well its just one step in the process.

If I was anti gun this is what I would do and it would work.

You don't even need to do that. You can just repeal the Second Amendment, pass laws making it illegal to possess a firearm other than registered long-guns for hunting, and then go on and confiscate ala what was done in the UK.

The next President might get as many as three Supreme Court Justice appointments. As it stands right now we are only one anti-gun Justice away from a majority anti-gun Supreme Court.

And even if that can't be achieved in this climate don't think that the anti-gun legislators aren't going to try to limit the Second Amendment via regulation. Hell, the EPA is doing it behind the scenes as we speak by attempting to ban lead in ammunition.

true but you can make owning a firearm illegal but that doesnt mean everyone will give them up. Yes some will because they just dont want to deal with the remifications of owning one. Every stong 2A person I know will never give their firearms up. Police wont enforce going door to door to take firearms because they know there is a high chance they will die, atleast in Texas there is. How do you get around forcing people to turn over their weapons with violence? take away something they need to survive and then offer them that need in exchange for their firearm. That need would be money.

But I totally understand what you are talking about. We are walking a tight rope with having some serious gun regulations imposed on us.
