I think back to a day in January tis year when the thermometer was at -25 F and the wind chill was -50 F.

Between the hotel lobby and my car (about 70 ft), my hair froze to the hardness of a racing helmet. My steaming hot coffee was cool when I got to the Suburban I rented.

Since then -- I scoff at what Californians call "cold" or 'winter".

yea that happened to me in ottawa... i walked a block after swimming and my damp hair froze....

it wasn't even that cold (-5*C) but the wind chill... ugh that's what gets me everytime.

lol cali 'cold' is like my 'shorts' weather.

yah, last winter was very bad. that does alter your threshold completely

like im outside 15F in my t-shirt and jeans pulling back trashcans in the am. cold? yah, but bearable.
