Yeah, he actually had a minor stroke and heart attack a while back so he needs something to do to keep busy but isn't going to kill him
This keeps his hand eye coordination and as you said other motor skills a bit of a work out.

oh i c. mustve been scary for him and entire family. glad to hear he's doing better and getting back into model making

when i was in japan a few months back, i went to this hobby store where they had hugegangeous battleship models on display. they were the wooden ones too, built from scratch. thing was at least 8-9ft long

I will not tell him about that, he will want one and Ill have to lug it around or drop what I am doing to go rotate it 10 degrees every 3 minutes
