not like crt where you just bang on the top and it fires back on.
At work the other day after exhausting all other avenues of fixing an iphone, I "tapped" it on the desk a few times and person looked at me like I was nuts, but the home button started working again
I sometimes miss the days when a bigger hammer was the answer
