yah, i will see how well the RE11's grip in the colder days and decide wat
to do on the tires.

DW gripped fairly well even down to 35F... so those are like my colder weather
tires in the Spring/Fall. i dont drive my Z in the snow.

Davey 09-02-2014 04:20 PM

My Z needs nothing... Except PDR for those two dings on the roof. :ugh2:

That will likely happen in the spring, post "tornado and hail" season.

Ah who am I kidding, tornado and hail season is the whole ******* year in Indiana. :shakes head:

Davey 09-02-2014 04:20 PM

Ooh... Painted door handles maybe.

Davey, I had a PDR tech remove a basket ding from my door..i.e a small
dent - crease 2 x 3 inchs... After PDR can not spot anything. Cost was
250.00 but money well spent.GL..

Yeah seems like every year there's at least a couple of days in the spring where they say it's going to be a beautiful sunny day and then 3 hours later... "A severe storm is headed for the area, bringing large hail, damaging winds, and tornado warnings..."

I haven't decided if I want to match the wheels/spoiler/etc. (gunmetal) or the body (mag black).

:eekdance: dang... this year ive been forced NOT to drive my G to work
due to the craters in the parking lot, but im kinda happy because we too
have been getting weather where it's sunny in the am, but t-storms by pm. :ugh:

takes me a while to clean up my G to my liking.

i would match the wheels. :D cause then it will be accents like your side turn
signal housing. that appears more gunmetal/dark silver than black or silver.

yah, im glad you did the PDR fix.

its definitely my recommendation before considering any paint related
repairs. i just hate worrying about paint matching. :eekdance:

Pearl White paint is a hard one to fix...Body shop wanted 1200.00
to remove the small egg size dent and only paint the lower half of the
door up to the seam line..

Yeah I was thinking, match the wheels/rockers/spoiler/etc with the grey would make it look like one other "NISMO" thing. :)

oh, it's a plug and play throttle controller that plugs in between the gas pedal and the harness going to the ECU.

wat it does is it takes the voltage from the gas pedal and multiplies the voltage so that it gives
larger voltage output than wat you're putting in.

so say for example you are stepping on the gas linearly like this:
1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4v

the output from the sprint booster would be like 1, 1.75, 2.5, 3.25, 4v

At least you understand how it works. I remember looking at this product a long time ago because a few people were claiming it was the same as a tune (like with increased hp and everything). I was really interested, but then I got really  when I found out it was just upping the voltage input for the throttle. Looking back now, I think it would have done mostly what I wanted (minus a valet mode), but I was just too pissed off at these idiots to even consider the product. In the end, I'm better off where I am because I got my tune for just the cost of the license, which is about the cost of a used sprint booster ($175).

The stock throttle is mind-blowingly laggy whenever I drive Ms. Pint's 7AT :ugh2:

Guess it's time to go start the grill for dinner. Marinated chicken (I think it's a new lime-something marinade for my wife's diet), grilled asparagus (lightly basted in olive oil with just salt and pepper), and some roasted rosemary red (new) potatoes :yum:

Last night we did tacos. Usually we use the Taco Bell seasoning package (don't judge! it's delicious :icon17:), but she made a new seasoning from scratch for her diet. It had too much cumin, but it wasn't terrible. Hopefully we can tweak the recipe a bit and continue to use it in the future

yah, ive been messing with controllers since like late 1990's so im pretty
familiar with flash tunes, ecu piggybacks, ecu piggybacks with pc logging,
vtec controllers, throttle controllers, etc.

there are major difference in benefits. for me on my pretty stock Z, i didnt
need a re-tune, just needed the umph! to wake up the throttle voltage. :D

Yes I have. That was in my drinking days. I had a client in Sparks, NV and stayed at the Nugget when onsite.

I think.
