Gobbler and dumplings (not my exact meal, but it looks about the same, just a little thicker)

Tonights dinner was planned, however the end result was not...
You see, after spending the first ten years of my military career in Germany I became quite acustom to the culture, food and drink... One memory that I cherish most was with a restaurant called the Schloss in the town of Illesheim where I resided... They had a dish that was so unique to anything that I have ever experienced that it left such a great impression on me that it became ingrained in my memory to date... It was a simple dish yes, but packed with so much flavor that it was litterally like an orgasm in my mouth (i know tmi, but hey i need to portray the feeling/taste as accurately as possible ).The recipe is a traditional Bavarian dish and consist of a fresh pork schnitzel with ham and swiss cheese (german cordon blue) fried in a bread crumb batter and served with french fries. A finely chopped mushroom gravy sauteed and pored over both the schnitzel and fries... any way just wante to share my memory with you all, please enjoy the photos ![]() PS: I had homemade Macaroni and Cheese this goround, next time it will be pomfrites ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
