It's just fairly new to these cars which is why i understand alot of people are again uneducated on stretched tires. People drift at 40+mph on more stretch than i have. I have Yet to see one case of someone's bead breaking and blowing a tire. Even if you could show me once case of that it still wouldn't mean much, i could show you handfuls of people blowing tires on regular "in-spec" sizes.

People are quick to say it's a hazard, but 90% of the people are just "guessing" that and only saying because of what other non-educated people are saying/telling them, and have no hard evidence that it is indeed such a hazard that it be so dangerous to drive on.

It's all good that peple don't like the look, i mean there's alot of styles that i shake my head at but i at least make a point to learn about what im talking about if im gonna criticize something to the point your calling someone "stupid". There are so many different style of modding out there and most of them i personally think are ugly but if something is done right and clean i will say i wouldn't do it but also am open to all modding and if done right i do give prop's.
There is a recommended tire size listed on the manufactures tire specificatiosn for a reason. They aren't made to be run on wider or narrower wheels, and it will affect the handling characteristics of said tire to do so.

yes, people blow out tires on hard pot-holes all the time, but think percentages. the percentage of people on stretched tires with failures is going to be much higher than those without.

It's one thing to say "that's not my style, I wouldn't drive it"...it's a whole other issue to say "There's no way in hell I am riding in that car, I value my life"...
