Grosses thing you've ever ate...

Just bit into a fruit that has a worm in it...how did I know? part of it was in my mouth! :yum:

**** guava fruit!

When my sister and I were very young (4 & 5 years old), we asked our Mom to make us special sandwiches. They had mustard, relish, ketchup, mayonaise, peanut butter, jam in them.
I think Mom made them for us to teach us a lesson. We were both sick after only eating a little of them. I guess Mom was trying to say; you get what you ask for sometimes.

They were disgusting. But... not that gross.

Zbrah 11-13-2013 04:41 PM

I'm sure it tasted worse than it sounded, but I'd rather eat your mom's special sandwich than a worm.

Grindkiezer 11-13-2013 04:52 PM

A Waffle :roflpuke2:

Oh, I don't know about that. The worm at the bottom of a tequila bottle probably tastes pretty good. And by the time you consumed the liquid , who would care about taste?

Not as bad as you would think!

6MT 11-13-2013 05:00 PM

My thoughts exactly!

lol true, except this worm I had for lunch was alive when I decapitated its body and chewed it up, and I wasn't drinking tequila.

Bring out the Filipinos and Vietnamese... Just give us your daily intake and the rest of us will be disgusted, lol

eastwest2300 11-13-2013 05:10 PM

chitlins

Zbrah 11-13-2013 05:12 PM

It wasn't sweet, more of a little bitterness and sour.

I can still this rancid taste it in my throat :barf:

Not necessarily the worst tasting, but the smell is out of this world and it smells like someone just left rotten eggs in a babies poop filled diaper wrapped with old indian food.

The problem is the worm is in Mescal, and the liquid you have to drink to get to it is so godawful the worm is good in comparison.

Balut anyone? I had this a few times when I was a kid, but not having seen in person for 15+ years, this stuff makes me gag thinking about it.

JARblue 11-13-2013 05:19 PM

Some people think Rocky Mountain Oysters (bull testicles) are gross. But I've had them, and they were delicious :yum:

I'm convinced a lot of those dishes started out as a bet. :rofl2:

Zbrah 11-13-2013 05:29 PM

I agree. Like a dare, I think that's how I had my first one lol

Edit: I remember all the Vietnamese girls loved it, I didn't want to look like a wimp in front of everyone.

Fried crickets in a Mescal Bar in Mexico:

A note about eating fried crickets: it's a bit like eating corn; you need to chew your food. I woke up the next morning with a raging turd-on. I dropped anchor only to look down and see that my turds had legs. Hundreds and hundreds of un-digested and un-chewed legs. My turds could have beaten Carl Lewis in the 100 m.

Wow. So that's one of the foulest things I have ever read.

Zbrah 11-13-2013 05:46 PM

Note to self: Do not eat rice when visiting Thailand!

DEpointfive0 11-13-2013 05:49 PM

Fuckin ew...

Snake I had once in AZ, it was good

Chuck33079 11-13-2013 06:15 PM

Snake is good. Fried rattlesnake is fantastic. There's a place around here that makes python chili and its great. I draw the line at bugs.

Zbrah 11-13-2013 06:16 PM

WTH are those! they look like some juiced up bed bugs. How was it? I hope you didn't get sick. I would imagine it's difficult to turn down such an offer from your business clients lol

kenchan 11-13-2013 06:22 PM

mmmm... grasshoppers. :yum: actually not grasshoppers, inago.

i didnt know wat they were but ate them as a kid. considering crabs and shrimp are
insects of the sea, not sure wat the big deal is eating bugs. :icon17:

I don't know what they're called. Basically waterborne cockroaches (atleast that's what the person kept calling them).

BeemaaZ 11-13-2013 06:30 PM

Parmesan Cheese... to me it smells really bad... if you closed your eyes and did not know what you are smelling... you may think it's vomit or smelly feet! :roflpuke2:

Same restaurant, this is how they prepared the snake! :yum: It actually tasted more like pork to me than chicken. I really liked the consistency; there's a certain tension to the meat.

They also made a stir fried snake skin vegetable dish but I didn't take a picture of that.

Crapping out bugs is kinda weird. More wired is how their feet tickle on the way out.

Thankfully, they don't kick.

Tempestz 11-14-2013 03:14 AM

When I went through SERE training in the military, I had to eat a Banana Slug, Squerill eyes and testes...

I was not a happy camper...

XiP 11-14-2013 03:18 AM

Lyoto machida (mma fighter) did it so I thought I'd try it too. Apparently it's good for medicinal purposes. I didn't notice anything
