I put the LEDs in, and 9 LEDs is a lot and about as bright as the Sun.

Sounds like a lot of work. I bet a vinyl overlay might work in a pinch.

I bought some 9 LED panels years ago for our old Accord. Waaaaaaayyy too bright for my liking. They're still around here somewhere
