They plan on it ... prologue came out before the G25 - however - the clutch works amazingly if you use it on PC-sims but the graphics are ehhh and the cars are either too shitty or wayy too fast that you cant do an honest comparison to daily driving

MarcusMIA 08-26-2009 03:52 PM

Forza 3 is coming with a clutch feature. Just like you can pick from automatic, manual, abs, traction control, etc.... well, now you can specify if you want a clutch.

On the XBOX controller is will be LB. With a wheel and pedal? It must be amazing...

fanatec all the way! the price was lowered to 110! thats a baddddddddddd toy right there. must buy

ssqpolo 08-26-2009 05:02 PM

G25 is too damn expensive for what it is. the driving force GT wheel is amazing for GT5p. very realistic. let go of the wheel while driving and ull know what i mean.

shabarivas 08-26-2009 05:37 PM

G25 does all the things the driving force GT does and more - my roommate had a DFGT wheel - but when I got my G25 his went into the closet

Devil Z 08-27-2009 09:33 AM

Found this on GTplanet for the wheel, cost a freakin Gem tho add the G25 and your set. Wouldn't buy it imo, I would rather buy headers lol

God I hope the sound is as amazing as the view. Bad-*** Klipsch 7.1 surround sound + 46' Samsung 850 series FTW. I can't wait.

JB19000 09-20-2009 01:48 PM

Um, who the hell plays racing games? Look at the cars you guys own. Get out and race. You can be the slowest person out there and still get a bigger rush then GT5 or Forza any day.

Many do race their cars, but I can drive a million car I might never own with probably 90% realistic quality, sound, and accuracy to the real car.

Plus, if you have to ask, you will never know.

Both are fun... some 'real' racers like to say that you can't get any faster in real life by doing simulators but I think that's crap... builds hand/eye, reaction time, let's you experiment with vehicle limits and go over limits in a way that is usually unsafe even at the track

This also, for someone like me who has never tracked before gives me a chance to learn a few things before jumping on a track with a RWD drive car and mess something up.

Good example, GT5 or Forza is the simulator for tracking as Flight Simulator X is for flying.

Who the hell are you and why should we care?

Pointman 09-20-2009 05:37 PM

I like the Race Games, there fun. That's why people play games, to have fun. Sure you can be serious and crazy competitive, but I like them because they are fun. They is already way to much seriousness in life as is. :happydance:

New Ferrari in GT5 and F3, but after looking at the videos and the two photobucket links it looks like the GT5 version is better.

Ferrari 458 Italia in Gran Turismo 5, Forza 3

LMAO, the track is 100 miles away, and costs $200+ a pop. Sure it's fun but spending $55 to sit in front of the tv is fun too.

Pushing_Tin 09-22-2009 07:27 PM

I pre-ordered my copy the other day. I haven't even had my PS3 on for 9 months but I will be dusting it off for this game.

Devil Z 09-23-2009 11:54 PM

Well looks like we just got shafted in the rear from KAZ, he just said GT5 release is March 2010. I'm near almost done with this game!!!!!!

300ShooTTer 09-24-2009 12:32 AM

Not to toot my own horn, but I found this on page two.

Just a couple months back one of Polyphony/Sony's reps released a riddle that hinted at the US release for March 2010. I'm going to keep banking on that and if it comes in December(which would kill in the Christmas rush) I'll just be that much happier.

Here's a link as to why all this has been a load of BS, look at the comments and the topic. People are frustrated with the lack of common sense on how to market a game let alone hold a fan base. March 2010 is not really far, but with all the hype and now 6 more months to go it's just plain stupid. Plain plain old stupid :shakes head:

300ShooTTer 09-24-2009 10:58 AM

Oh, believe me, I fully understand why it makes no financial sense. I mean, in reality instead of waiting 6 months, they should just wait 14 and do a Nov. '10 release. They aren't REALLY going to lose fans. People say "screw them" now, but when the game hits, those same people's wallets will be $60 lighter. I guarantee.

I don't care either way seeing as I have a goal of getting 100%(with the exception of all gold on license test because I'm using a controller) on my old GT4 before GT5 is released. I'm at 54.7%. :icon14:

rednek01 09-24-2009 11:13 AM

I bet Duke Nukem will come out way before this does!

ArtVandaleigh 09-24-2009 11:28 AM

I've been playing Gran Turismo since it's inception on PS1, but although they keep bumping back the release dates, I'd much rather them release it fully bug free and with plenty of content. The problem with games now adays is the vast majority are released in almost beta format (especially PC games). I've also read that the PS3 car models can take months PER CAR to model/render, especially when they are doing interiors now. Factor in almost 1000 cars and go figure...

shabarivas 09-24-2009 12:47 PM

According to Tokyo Auto show the game is "65%" complete - whatever the hell that means... but honestly - its not going to matter when it comes out... it will do really well...

jenko 09-24-2009 05:00 PM

the game looks great other than the lack of effort they have put into the damage physics. i honestly think that the original forza has better damage physics that GT5
YouTube - GC2009 GT5 Damage effect

love how the door swings open when the opposite side of the car hits the wall.
still will probably pick this game up though just not sure if i will be able to tolerate the need for speed damage physics they put in it.

shabarivas 09-24-2009 05:13 PM

The new one is supposed to have a really good damage engine... the old GT games had 0 damage - and thats 0 - so you hit a wall or another car... it pretends nothing happened except for some course correction due to clipping the other car... the new game will hopefully have better graphics... but i care not as i mostly drive it for time trials sake etc...
