:icon18: Yes it was for Madison, Wisconsin. I grew up in Grand Rapids Michigan but I worked for a company in WI. I guess old habits/online IDs die hard sometimes.
Old employer... Weir Minerals : Centrifugal Slurry Pumps : Positive Displacement : Hydrocyclone : Vertical Turbine : WeirMinerals.com

*Life story coming up*
I was an aerospace machinist for about 10 years, and then I worked for Weir minerals in Madison WI. I woke up one day, decided I hate being a machinist and went back to school. I now work for hospital in the IT dept. (hence why picture of nasty foot yesterday didn't phase me...). I moved back to Michigan to help my family out. I have a sister with Cerebral Palsy and my parents are getting up there in the years and need the extra hands with the day to day operations. My dad spent the last month in the hospitals heart center ICU...they told us we had to prepare for his final wishes like 20 times lol He's a stubborn ******* but I think that kept him alive lol

*tl;dr* none...told you life story was coming up :icon17:

Wow, do you have ANY idea what her likes and dislikes are? Hit us with all the details :D

*Edit* If you follow our advice and it blows up be sure to link her to this thread lol

eastwest2300 08-23-2013 11:24 AM

No, ask her if she'd like to do lunch.. take her out to her favorite spot, and let her guide you through her favorite dishes.. It'd make for good conversation, and it'd show her you're interested in what she likes.

Hmmm, is there any special food places she likes? maybe a gift card to the restaurant and a nice hand written thank you note, throw flowers in if you think it will help lol A good florist will deliver all said items too. What sayeth everyone for the point of delivery...work or home?

*Edit* maybe tickets to a local sports team she likes?

Sounds like her hubby's got a winner! (No surprise she's hitched on that one :icon17:)

I like the idea eastwest2300 came up with . If your not gonna go that route, you could try a nice gift idea.

Personally, I've given out creative baskets before (go ahead...laugh...it worked! :p). I copied Boardwalk Empire, and put a LOT of peaches in a basket with a card that read "Thanks! You're A Peach!" It was for the girls at the dentist's office. All of them were married as well, and they were very grateful.

Yeah as long as your hand written note isnt creepy as hell, I think you will be just fine with that.
*you could always offer up lunch on you for whatever she wants for lunch...will at least give a place she will eat at even if desperate :D
