Good, got a few licks down using it but still progressing. My father in-law only plays blues which is minor pentatonic heavy. He always asks "how it's coming" (the scales) makes me LOL he only plays that! Sounds good but it is all blues. Then meanwhile I get a weird look when I tell him the latest Led Zeppelin, Clapton, Hendrix or any other classic rock song I am practicing

I wonder what he would say I mentioned some metal or something else "weird" in his eyes

But I do work on the scale I am trying to memorize all the notes for each pattern so I don't just go online and find licks. I will actual play start to finish for each pattern even going from pattern 1 all the way to 4 and back to the start for the 2 or 3 most common scales I use.


That sounds confusing ^^above^^ I think I have used my brain to much today

the fewer notes you play, the better it might sound.

yep I will play a little bit of everything I am not stuck on one genre

my music listening is the same, to much of one thing is never a good thing

sometimes i have 'smooth jazz' genre playing in the background and after like 5-6 tracks, they all start to sound the same regardless of who's playing... and i have to turn it off.

cracked me up when my kids were listening to kennyG. i was like wth are you guys listening to?! and they're like 'dad, it's Cars (movie) music.'

i guess there's a scene where mcqueen's trailer (mack?) falls asleep listening to KennyG's music played by some F&F civic like cars to make mack crash.
