What's weird though, is I hate needles and think they hurt, but if I'm getting a needle in my gums, it's no big deal... so weird.

hummm... yah, rice is difficult to cook without the fuzzy logic ones sometimes. i use a zoujirushi which like a frikken computer. perfect steamed rice each time. :tup:

one tip is if you aren't using a fuzy logic one, after it's done, dont open the lid for 5min. that usually allows the rice to soak up the last of the steam to make it soft.

also, allowing rice to soak water before steaming (before you turn it on) helps too.
