Yes sir!

happytheman 06-03-2013 02:57 PM

I know you mentioned that you were unhappy with it. Is that still the case?

No, I'm learning how to better use manual mode with PhotoShop to reduce the grainy effect. Maybe I'll upgrade next year.

If everything goes according to plan, I am going to get it Saturday. I have to transfer lots of dollars into my checking account, which takes a couple of days anyway.

Congrats on the new Z! What options did you get?

I try to go as low as possible, some days I'll just do auto if I don't have time to pause between shots.

I've never had mine shined (I don't travel with me dress shoes).

I just give them a couple bucks. I rarely do it anymore though. I picked up some quick shine at Target and have gotten into the habit of shining the shoes I'll be traveling with for the week on Sunday night. Looks just as good. Most of my shoes are newer/in good shape though. If you have older/worn dress shoes, a good shine from these guys will be worth it.

i hate my life !!!@#$%^&*(&^%$#@#$ . .. i went to have breakfast.. and i started driving back to my room .. and the front right wheel started making a metal scratching noise.. and i looked and the disc is al scraped from the front brake.. it seems that for some reason is locked.. !!! now i have to take it to the dealers to fix it.. :S

kenchan 06-03-2013 03:34 PM

sounds more like you got a rock stuck in your brake.

Have you tried tripod + slightly slower shutter speed?

Worth a shot to check. When I bought mine it had a screeching noise pulling out of the dealer. Dealer put it on a lift and sure enough there was a rock stuck in there. Popped it out and all is quiet.

You'll have to take me for a ride sometime. I'm thinking about the Swifts as well as the 18" Resonated FI CBE. Main worry is drone with the CBE.

i'm gonna try that . . . . then i'll have to drive it to the dealer.. it's about a 7 mile drive, do you think this will affected a lot?

BajaZ 06-03-2013 03:58 PM

i just dont want to make it worse.. it is pretty loud at times

b15 06-03-2013 04:11 PM

Well if a rock is stuck and is pushing the dust shield against the rotor then yes, a 7mile drive could potentially score the rotor pretty bad.

I suspect that is probably the DIY fix. The dealer has software they can use to change the setting. I'm emailing the guy right now though.

Yeah, a bit = an hour or so in Haboob time.
