Got her inside before the rain. The led's are making a huge difference in power consumption for in-cabin so I am happy I swapped it out. :)

Otherwise cleaned the fit's interior glass and floor mats, reorganized my detailer's cart and shelves in prep for tomorrow's Z detailing. (Just mild polish and wax.)

Need to run errands today. Hope you all have a great Saturday!

GJ on the tidying up Mr.Kenchan

No Z for me today. I need to wash the DD and get ready for T.O.

There are not-so-good neighborhoods "across the tracks" (literally), especially around Del Paso Blvd. That road has many shops, boutiques and such and is in the process of being "revitalized", but there is still an interesting element who hang out there. Also, we are close to the American River where you can find homeless encampments. My dry cleaner is also on Del Paso.

Yesterday, after my Meguiar's Love Fest with my new Z, I went out to run a few errands and one of them was to my dry cleaners (I do not do my own shirts). I am loading my stuff in the back of the Z and I hear a woman's voice say "nice car". I turned and one of the street folks (a woman) who looked like she lived her life on the barter system (if you catch my meaning) was standing on the sidewalk. I said thanks and she asked "can I have a ride?"

I said no.

:icon14: that's kinda f*%*ed up eh?!?!

Kenchan, what did you replace with LED's? Just the regular bulbs? And are you monitoring your power consumption? Sorry, I'm a little confused, I haven't been in here in a few days do I haven't been keeping up with what everyone is doing.

On another note, I think I'm gonna paint my side markers white and take the plasti-dip off.

Good afternoon ladies and gents. Have a few errands to run in the Z. Might be picking up a 50mm prime lens to play with but probably won't keep it just yet.

ms bc - PLEASE don't PlastiDip your wheels. Either get them properly painted or powdercoated. Gunmetal would look great on your car. I did mine in the 40th body color "KAV".

Regarding spacers - my usual disclaimer. Some tire shops here in Houston refuse to service a car with spacers. You have to remove the tire from the car yourself and then put it back on. Note the word "some".

Not a big deal until you are on your way to a meeting is a nice suit and get a flat on a 95 degree day. Just check with the place you would normally do business with and you won't have any surprises. It probably isn't even an issue, but you never know.

If you go the spacers route, which for you shouldn't be a problem since Tony is very hands-on, definitely go with hub-centric, stud replacement spacers. Stillen sells H&R which is what I had and are pictured so eloquently on the roof of JAR's Z:

H&R Trak+ DRS Wheel Spacers | STILLEN

I would recommend 15mm front and 20mm rear.

I agree that spacers definitely make the car look better, especially the rear wheels, but if you look at most race cars, their wheels are usually tucked in a bit too. I would assume that is for aero reasons.

You ought to think about getting your calipers painted too by Mike the powdercoater.

One final comment - as fun as it is to mod and personalize my car, everything I have ever done has resulted in some type of compromise or unexpected problem (that was eventually corrected). Most are not a big deal, but there is a reason Nissan engineered our cars the way they did. I'm not trying to scare you from modding your car, I just want you to go into things with your eyes wide open.
