Quick question for you guys: I'm about to buy some H&R spacers, 15mm DRS for the front and 20mm DRM for the back. Since they're used, is it safe to reuse the replacement stuffs for the fronts or should I get new ones? And if I need to, where should I get the new ones from? Studs aren't really something g I've messed with, so I don't really know much about them.

I survived Zdayz 2013

this xpel ultimate is a HUGE improvement over the regular xpel ive dealt with in the past as far as being able to peel up without damage even when partially dried. usually dont want to do that cause it damages the film by turning white.

also VERY glossy.

As long as the studs aren't compromised, you should be fine. Mr. Gurney was nice enough to hook me up with some spacers, but he informed me that some of the studs had been cut down and recommended they not be used.

gurneyeagle 07-03-2013 03:19 PM

Great job mr. ken!

Question for you and anyone else who has experience with clear bra -

I've got 3M clear bra on the front of the car that was installed over six months ago.

When I go to cut the holes in my bumper for my Nismo brake ducts, are there any special precautions to take because of the clear bra?

Is there a real possibility of it lifting along the cut line?

I don't think there should be a problem, but i wanted to ask. Mrs. gurney in another storied driving action managed to brush a column in a parking garage with her CR-V. The clear bra was abraided and torn in some spots, but it didn't lift anywhere. I assume there will be no problem with me cutting mine.

Thoughts?

Yes. the ducts will overlap the cut line by about half an inch.

That sounds like it should over lap enough even if there was a little fraying IMO

JARblue 07-03-2013 03:45 PM

Spent a good portion of the day trolling a CL scammer :icon17:

The highlights:
( Click to show/hide )

First text message thanks me for responding. This is the second text message and is immediately obvious that it's a scam. While I hate scammers like this, I have zero sympathy for idiots who fall for this type of crap. It doesn't take rocket scientist to figure out something is wrong. Just in case he is stupid enough to actually send money, I tell him I only accept PayPal gift (so he won't be able to dispute the transaction).
( Click to show/hide )

Here I give him my name, but I misspell it knowing that a legitimate email from PayPal will get it correct. Sure enough, I get an email addressed to the misspelled name. The email looks fairly legit except for the obvious signs like the reply address is not remotely close to any paypal.com address, the content is complete BS about how PayPal works, and the shipping address is Nigeria :shakes head:
( Click to show/hide )

Here I troll him a bit saying that I already procured a shipping carrier. Lonestar overnight is a regional shipping company and has only recently expanded it's shipping coverage outside of Texas :icon17: The phone number he is using is registered to 2220 West 1st Street in Duluth, MN, so I mentioned that I was shipping the package there - he was a little surprised lol
( Click to show/hide )

And finally, I reveal that I've just been wasting his time :rofl2:

Another reason why I like going to people I know I always get to watch and after hours I can occasionally arrange to get some lift time for my own work if needed, but I only do that if I really need it cause I know they want to go home like everyone else at the end of the day :ugh2:

 exactly. They have lives too.
And, i only got two tires. The "free" alignment only comes w 4. He told me if i really wanted an alignment he would arrange it when they weren't so busy...and at summers end i am planning on replacing the two fronts. He said he would find a way to get me an alingment. Then he laughed because i was pushing him... Local is good.

I love the ROAR of the TP's on my Z!

3rd and 4th when running hot and heavy running it at 3k-5 or 6k rpm between shifts and then running 4th up to 5-6k!

It's music to my ears :yum:
