If we can, great; if not, I'm sure I'll have plenty of fun riding with you or Matt as well as driving the other Nissan cars

I plan to be there no later than 7 am :driving:

IKR!! :happydance: I'm trying to figure out what kind of gift I need to send these two guys home with... a nice bottle of wine or a gift card of some sort, maybe

mr.JAR - I got my car back last night and will be driving it. I'm not sure swapping cars like that is even an option as they know the VIN on mine.

And ms. pint is correct - you guys will be driving the GT-R, Nimso Z and Nismo Juke. Hopefully, that will make up for not getting to drive your car this weekend.

However, talk to Guru this weekend about the upcoming WEC event at COTA in August. He's working a sweet deal for Nissan owners that will definitely interest you (Shhhh! That's a secret).

As far as gifts - absolutely not necessary. This is payback for introducing us to Lime Creek Road. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future to lead us on some adventures around Austin.

Morning y'all :hello:

Intake filters are reinstalled. Will bed the brakes in about an hour once the traffic around here dies down a bit

Nismo89 06-19-2013 08:11 AM

Morning all.... On the cell phone. Started having computer problems around 6 yesterday night and it still hasn't come back on. Grrrrr

Good news, Mike! I'm just glad you have your Z to drive out there

:driving: super stoked to drive a GT-R. As fun as it would be, I'm fine with not driving my own Z - I'm not sure how long I'd last without an oil cooler anyway :ugh2:

 hrmmm... :excited:

I know it's not necessary - just another way to express my gratitude aside from saying, "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, " etc... :icon17:

What do you want to do? I was thinking it might be nice to have a cooler with gatorades and water or something. If you want to just ride with me that's fine, but we need to figure out whether we're going to the Salt Lick afterward. I am interested, definitely, but I am expecting I will be tired after the long day and may just want to go home. I know you don't really like the Salt Lick, so I don't want to force you to go if I do.

Yeah, I can't do the Salt Lick this time due to other reasons. I was planning on heading back home afterwards and then if the guys do anything later that night, just meet up again. I'm down for carpooling but I was thinking of leaving my car at the Lakeline Metro Rail station. If you decide to head out to Driftwood with the guys, maybe you could drop me off at the rail station downtown?

If you really don't want to drive your car to the track, I'm ok with missing Salt Lick. I am thinking there's like 80% chance I'll be too tired and want to go home anyway.

If you're fine with that, then I'm down. If not, I can just meet at the track.

I'm not sure if anyone will be up for Salt Lick, but it's there as a placeholder. If I don't go there, it's because I'm going to bed. Definitely no going out later for me this trip. The rest of those guys? Who knows, but I am sure someone will be hitting South Congress.

While I completely agree, I'm not sure that's kosher at a driving academy :icon17:

Meant to mention this before - you are going to have a LOT OF FUN riding with Matt! He races motorcycles and is pretty fast in go kart. He's a VERY accomplished driver.

**edit** Ken, what happened here? I thought you got the super huge icons working

JARblue 06-19-2013 12:17 PM

I know you can get the Juke in a 6spd MT, so I just assumed that the Nismo version was a 6spd MT. However, at the dealership this morning, I looked at a Juke Nismo, and it had a CVT. That surprised me - I'll be interested to see how Saturday goes :driving:

ordered up a high capacity usb car adapter/charger thingie in hopes to rid some power related noise im suddenly getting from my hero2. :ugh:
