I work as the content writer at GreatGlam.com . It's an online women's clothing company, and I write the descriptions for the clothes and shoes. I went to school for interior design, but landed this job two years ago and it's actually pretty cool. I'm fortunate that GG has doubled in size in the two years I've been there in spite of the economy.

Traveled around the US a little attending colleges in Martin, TN; La Plume, PA; and College Station, TX earning credits towards a Bachelors in Network Administration. Currently due to the varying colleges my 2years doesn't exactly = an associates due to requirements from each diff. college.
However right now I am in the recruitment stage for the Air Force to be SpecOps Pararescue, or PJ for short. Wanted Space Systems Operations, but the economy even hit the military and demand for such jobs is pretty much nil. I have a passion to travel the world, earn a degree in culinary, and the Air Force seems like the best option for me I'm just awaiting career booking, I pass my PAST test and my recruiter said I'm guaranteed a PJ booking.

Yea, that's what I hear. My uncle was in the marines and served in Vietnam, he said that the Navy and AirForce have the best food you can get. He said it was great for him to get aboard a carrier to be able to eat food that tasted better than MREs :P
Since Gordon Ramsay is an idol of mine and I do enjoy cooking, I figure why not do the Air Force Community College while I'm in. A perk to the AF. |

My little brother is in the NAVY on a submarine as one of their cooks. He's wanting to go to culinary school after he's done serving.

I used to be an engineer - I designed engines at the Big 3. I still am more of an engineer than anything else, but now I throw down the law to pay the bills.
Lots of engineers on this site, btw... Last edited by blackflag; 02-25-2010 at 04:22 PM. |
