...my DVR (i still like calling it TIVO) almost fully recorded, and then the prince thing, i decided to watch the ending of a previously recorded 'woodstock' after seeing the prince tributes to stay 'in-tune' and i FF'd to santana's "soul sacrifice" to see the drumming...(i recently bought a set of congas)...young man/prodigy mikey shrieve went all "buddy rich/gene krupa-ish blazing an impressionable trail that caught my imagination back then and still very much impressed me today...and, the new santana IV, thou not nearly the II/III/caravanserai outstanding, seminal classics, it's still good to the ol' guise back...loved, loved, loved this band back then...
