naw. on my dd i just replace it every 6-7months.  that's the recommeneded replacement cycle anyway.
since my Z is garaged most of her life in a dry and ideal environment, the rubber does not rot or disintegrate. the refills probably work fine, but im just going to replace them since they are 4yrs old and i have a pair in my parts bin.
