im here to talk experience, not myths. if one was to swap just one swaybar on our cars, they'd net more by doing the front first, then add rear to compensate if the front was too stiff.

unless one's setting up solely for drifting, then i dont know. i dont drift. i mean, i let the rear step out sometimes, but that's not a drift...and my goal is to be able to punch out of a turn without stepping out.

i dont auto-x, but a lot of folks use stiff setting on the front and stock or no bar on the rear.
Experience of course. I wasn't trying to spread myths, but merely bring them to light so those With experience can trounce them. I don't know everything about suspension, so I'm trying to find out what I can from who I can of those with more experience.

I'm just cruious about it all because I've never had my Z come out from me in a turn (I know that means I'm not pushing hard enough ) but my thought is it doing that, and the wrong thing happening because it doesn't come back. I do intend to track mine though, so they were not wasted purchases.

Auto x only allows one sway bar to be changed if you want to stay in street class.

Also, that's not very stiff on the whitelines... Most of the others can go much stiffer....

not necessarily. most bars in soft setting is still usually stiffer than stock.

im just going totally by the amount of stiffness i have on my G and using that experience in parallel on the Z. 35-36% stiffer than stock on the front is probably all the car needs.

Hmm, cause I have the Whitelines myself, F/R, and have them set on the "OEM-like" setting. So I'd like to see your thoughts as well.

I heard there was some myth that having different stiffness' on F/R based on aftermarket Front and OEM rear, or vis versa, would cause very poor handling? (Driver mod excluded)
that is if you stiffen the rear suspension too much with either sway bar or the spring/coilover.

Remember the stiffer the rear the less of the traction it will have. Too soft, it will induce understeer.

Sway bar will decrease body-roll, however, it will still increase the stiffness of the suspension, mainly on the inertial-response before the sway starts compressing the suspension on the other side.

Some people just blindly stiffen everything and thought it is the way to go, and ends up lose all the traction front and back thus the car is like skating on the road.

Especially on a RWD car, the rear end is very sensitive, if you mod the rear end in a wrong way could induce over-steer on both turn-in and exit.

That's why, on street/DD, it's not a must to change the rear unless it's necessary.

The most important is you feel the handling of the car is 'balance'

Yes, but the stiffness of the OEM at the back is fine for regular driving too, therefore it's an option to change the rear.

Yep, that's basically what I've done (be it the right or wrong way according to some people ) that I get the car modded to the point it's upgraded everywhere, then I can customize it to my specific wants. I get the car up to a certain point, then as the driver I grow into the car. In my mind it makes sense, hopefully it does on a logical perspective to those more educated.
