Yes, needs to be redone, but without knowing the orientation, chances are you might run into the same problem. If this is your stock strut, you can probably use your impact to loosen the piston nut if you have a spring compressor.

Just hold the strut snug. Double check on impact use. Stock dampers are usually ok
Coilovers are nono for impact use.

I used impact on my fit's strut when I did its swifts last yr :p
Adjustable dampers break when you impact their shafts.

:tup: will look into ot tomorrow. Im not sure it will be easy to compress the springs when they are on the car still
