I've been to solo events where there's formula fords, super 7s and well prepared crxs and miatas. All things that would slaughter a stock 370z if the course didn't allow for the z to stretch its legs. So don't sweat the time gap between yourself and ftd.
One time i set (true/raw) ftd in the rain in my csp miata, but lost out to a stock audi a4 quattro when the pax index was applied. He clearly had the advantage in those conditions, but what can you do?
