I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to share it as well. :)

Nothing like working nights to run the DB jobs, then the person that's supposed to set them up to be run manually doesn't do so and can't be reached by email or phone...

Guess this is just ten hours of not doing anything, but web surfing and TV show watching! :icon17:

Also, it seems Mother Nature found out I wanted to wash my car tomorrow and has thrown "a chance of rain" into the forecast. :shakes head: :icon17:

So, what's up guys and gals?

onzedge 05-07-2013 05:23 AM

i have a very stereotypical bimmer douche near my house... he's bald, in his late 40's or early 50's, drives with sunroof open, a whine-red cheap version 3-series... probably leased to give it the full effect.

im casually driving down the sidestreet in my fit, he backs out from his driveway in my face like he rules the road... i stop, look at his bald face-head (can't see the hairline) through his side mirror, he just looks back like 'wat the f- you looking at you 3rd world Asian in a econobox-car for the poor? unlike you, im rich, im in a bimmer!' then he speeds off... i continue my causal drive.

im ashamed to be in the same middle-class, middle-aged category with these losers. :shakes head: these are the folks i meet at the social security office and DMV.

I avoid them most of the time by not going to either the SS Office or the DMV :icon17:

Pintsize725 05-07-2013 09:45 AM

 I need to find help to put on the lip this week.

JARblue 05-07-2013 09:54 AM

So my SLIP Indicator has been lighting up randomly recently. It comes on solid and doesn't turn off until I turn off the car. It will be off when car is started back up again. I think it's usually coming on after some wheel spin (button flashes to indicate ABLS tried to stop me from spinning them), but I had it come on solid at least once while I was driving 75 mph down the highway on cruise control.

There are no low fluids, and I wouldn't think the pads are worn yet. I'm pretty sure the dealer didn't bed the brakes properly because they seemed warped at less than 10K miles when under hard braking, but I don't know what this would have to do with anything. I really want to upgrade the pads and rotors, but I just haven't spent the money yet. I guess a brake fluid flush wouldn't hurt anything. I have some ATE Super Blue I with which I was planning to replace both the brake and clutch fluid. Just not sure where to start.

If I get my headliner replaced under warranty, I will be sure to have them address this matter when I bring it in to the dealer (if I ever find one I can trust :shakes head:)

Is that a result of the turbo and supporting mods? Or is it just failing on you?

kenchan 05-07-2013 12:56 PM

mr.jar- sorry to hear about the slip light errors. can it be anything related to the abs sensors? do any suspension work recently?

Bad news:

My exhaust tips won't ever be flush with the bumper. They can send spacers to push the passenger-side out to make them even.

Now I'm going to be 10% ricer. :(

that sucks, haboob. :( do you have a speedshop nearby? i would have the shop cut both the pipes even out the lengths, then weld (or bolt on) new exhaust tips of your choice. :)

ask berk (or whoever made the lousy exhaust) to pay for the fees.

Dunno about ABS sensors. Is there a way to troubleshoot them? No to suspension work. Entirely stock aside from intakes and aesthetic mods.

Good idea. I like these tips, but I don't have an HKS exhaust :( If I get my custom exhaust ever, I'll consider using them
