The teller tells me that I have to trade the cash for an in house Chase check and write the check out for cash, sign it on the front, then endorse it and deposit it in to my account and then within 2-3 days the funds will be available. I tell her its legal US tender. Duh She says, "Yes, but there have been a lot of forgery issues recently and the testing markers do not work because the forgeries are made on washed $1's and $5's, so it takes 2-3 days to verify that they are legitimate. I will be closing my account next week.
