if you watch the show The F Word with Gordon Ramsay as much as i do, you learn to cook all kinds of meals without using a recipe, kind of like knowing exactly what ingredients/cooking methods would work really well for anything

hah everyone thinks he's such a **** from watching hell's kitchen and kitchen nightmares, but if you watch the F word it shows him at home and you that he's actually a nice, down to earth guy, just has a bit too much passion for food haha
