I am quite happy with the results. This stuff definitely works better than any metal polishing products I tried previously. In fact, they never worked, which is probably the reason my exhaust tips got as dirty as they did.

Here is a close up after an initial clean with Windex

BTW Jar. I added these polishes to my Wish List on Amazon...the list is growing! I am looking at valve stem covers too....recommendations?

speaking of dying, i need to get rid of silverfish that's been popping up in my house the last year.

i got these DAKKAR (sp?) silverfish traps that seem to do okay, but are there any other ways to get rid of these mofo?

they seem to come out from the intake vents from my hvac (and bathroom ceiling fans) so i turned the fans
on yesterday and sprayed non-smelling insect killer mist into each of the vents as well...

no, did not spray in huge amounts to kill the kenchan or its family. lol

Installation 3M Clear Bra Paint Protection Tampa, FL

this store, i think (but best to check), only sells xpel. but from one of the xpel sponcers of this site, i think he mentioned that the self-heal ones end with a part number with -U.

so if you're into that stuff, you can try ordering from autopaintguard. :)

one thing to note though, the last xpel i did on my Z's rockers yellowed within 2yrs. it couldve been old stock, not sure. the xpel i did on a dark blue car in the past had no visible yellowing even after 6yrs.

oh, and one thing to note about clearbra install... it's normal to pull and stretch the bra a tad when doing the bumper. they will be pre-cut a tad shorter on purpose and you pull on it to reach the ends.

after a while, it's easier to just get a generic roll and cut as one applies it, and tuck the ends into the nooks or over the fender or bottom panels. just a fuller, cleaner install that way.

an Elite-rep has been presented..!!

Sounds rough.

At the beach.

Water. Sun. Sand. Bikinis.

I feel sorry for you, really, I do.

It's so much better here in a cubical. Watching videos. Being bored. No bikinis. No sand.

Nothing wrong with enjoying car modding. Investment in happiness!

It's always an interesting topic to see what people would have done differently.

Sometime I wonder that the thing I do today, will I think back in 10,20,30 years and think I could have done it differently ,better even.

I wish I could buy a Sylvia for 100 :( always liked that car and it has great potential.... However they are overpriced in the used market in US

yah, it was definitely a cool ride. one of my uncles is a silvia fan and has bought all the gens since 1975 (?) when they were first introduced. up until about 7yrs ago when he first got a non-silvia car, the skyline 370GT which is the G37C.

wat i shouldve done was spent a little more and got a S4 avant and kept it for 10yrs along with my G35C. that would've been a huge cost savings.

Wow you change them often. I am buying my 3rd this summer. That's 4 cars total in 6 years. but I'll have 3 at once.

 sounds good, mr. zman. i hope you get wat you really want and just keep it for a long time.

ive owned 4 cars at a time so i kept rotating the older dd and kept my hobby car maybe 3-4yrs. it was fun and all, but wouldve been much better had i bought a car that was a tad over my budget, yet kept it longer.

i think having 2 cars for yourself is nice and economical if one of them is a hobby car. 3 cars is better... but 4 cars
and above could become a pita to maintain.

kenchan 04-02-2013 02:03 PM

Well the z ill keep for longer. My scion is a lease so it's going away dec 2013. I'm buying a cheaper used dd this summer and plan to keep that 3-4 years so its not necessarily one of the cars I want. I'll probably buy a nice dd in 2014 and keep that until it dies lol
