Driving back home I realized that by having VA health coverage, I would not be forced to pay a small mortgage amount of $$$ for coverage.
I might buy a rental and pay a mortgage from that savings. :icon17:

I couldn't tell you based on what you've posted here. At your age, I probably wouldn't. That's a lot of work for the income stream, and real estate always has liquidity issues. I'd probably take those funds and buy a dividend portfolio. Either that or take the set aside funds and look into long term care insurance.

I don't understand your first sentence. You are right about the investment rental thing. I had that & it was a pain in the azz.

Stock going up today. Almost 10% now.

My casino stock went up 29% today. That's HUGE for one day & may show that the odds for N.Y.S. casinos are better than 50/50. With the number of shares I accumulated in the last ten years makes today's 29% move up, my biggest one day profit in my life. Not counting selling a house of course. 99.9% of people would sell today & take that profit.
Since I made the decision to stay till the end, as stupid as that might be, that's what I'm going to do.

Shopping for a car & making plans to be a sugar daddy AGAIN :) There's no hurry with the sugar daddy because I think I should wait till she graduates H.S. :icon14:

Part of posting beside sharing/getting info should be having fun. I'm glad that this forum has no problem with that :p

A few months ago I gave them my honest & clear of the N.Y.S. casino situation & my knowledge about the ONLY stock that was available to benefit.

Stock was NYNY. It was $2.00 when I posted. Today it hit a high of $7.21.

The vote for casinos is on Nov. 5th. Considering that the vote still has not happened, and a good chance it may be voted down, getting to this price, with this 250% gain is damn good. I'm holding on till the vote. If it's a no vote, I'll be sorry as hell that I didn't sell before.

To sell before the vote or not.

To make real good profit or try/risk for one even bigger profit. Since a no vote would be a disaster for me, the first choice makes more sense.

I just don't have good sense :icon14: My big problem....

Haha well atleast cut out your initial investment. Especially since you have almost quadrupled your investment. Just wish i had some serious spending money to actually make some money. Haha

There's a saying, "buy on rumor, sell on news" or something like that.

I'm really lost now. I can make a huge and very, very painful mistake.

I've got 10 years of time & stock accumulation in it. What to do :confused:

For me & the amount I invested, the wrong decision can be life changing.

Take your original investment out at the very least. You said you accumulated $150k at $2/share. If that's correct, you're almost at the half million mark on that position now. Sell $300k and you've locked in doubling your money with another $200k or so left in to go up or down.

Over 10 years accumulation put me at a higher price than $2.00(:

It was $2.00 and lower a few months ago. Also had a reverse split that complicates the counting.

Regardless of the exact math, you're up hundreds of thousands of dollars. Take some of it out. Leave some of it in. You're playing with big numbers, don't sabotage yourself.

Sell your original investment plus some profit. Let $100k ride if you want. Take some of those profits and go on vacation. Sit on a beach somehwere drinking umbrella drinks and pat yourself on the back for making the right call.

The reverse split also was a negative. That's one of the reasons why not selling now looks stupid to you.

I need to be over $.4.5 to $5 to be even. The truth is that I hoped & would be lucky to get 1/3rd of my losses back :) Got it now :) Helps explain my actions????

That's not as bad. I'd still sell some, since you've seen a huge run up in the last couple of days. There's going to be some profit taking. Look at the chart. Hell, look at the volume. Or at least buy some puts in case the vote goes the other way.

Over $7 was my target to sell, then sometimes in the future before the casinos are chosen & IF the stock comes back down, I would have bought back. As I stated on my old site, I'm 99% sure that that location will be one of the 4 chosen.... ONLY 4 for the first seven years. That's a big thing to know. Maybe that info can be capitalized by the members here.

I was hoping that after a yes vote it would go in the sevens
 

Didn't expect it today. Maybe some investors wanted to get in at any price. The volume is pretty high. It's one of those stocks that certain people might/can get some inside info. Also could be that some know a positive new poll(s) for casinos & are buying.

Anyway, my plan is/was to sell, then get back sometimes before the Govt./Cuomo chooses the 4 sites.

Never thought it would go that high/that fast this morning. I 70% would have sold & rested/watched from the sidelines. I had an appointment for traffic court today:(

Now I'll watch & keep up with news. Sell before or after vote is the thing. I also need a big volume day like today or bigger. Lower volume would drop the prices real fast. Stay tuned ? :)

There's a 60k order for sale @ $6.59. If that gets taken down it will go up. If it continues going up tomorrow, the next few days? What if there's a yes vote and goes up even more??? A lot to consider......... 100% that I'll sell before or right after/during the vote. Then wait again. What to do?????

How bout pass me some money if you dont know what to do with it. Haha

I shorted it from $34 down to a penny under $22. Used day trading power where some days I made 20k. I hit the 250k profit mark & had my finger on buying to cover but DIDN'T!!!

A couple of weeks later (Feb. I went to Florida to drag race with Ray Tranceformer & Jason your record holder. I was complaining to Jason that I was losing money in stocks. That was at the track where I was supposed to have fun. I ended up losing that plus more. Today TSLA is close to $200 per share:) I saw a time when I knew it was going to go down. I also thought they would NEVER succeed building a successful EV car from scratch :)

I hope I didn't make that type/size mistake today or in the next few days....

That's why I'm drinking vodka now:)

:tiphat: Keep some in so you profit if the vote is a yes. Take half the proceeds and put it in stocks that are boring but pay good dividends. Take the other half and buy growth stocks.

No action now. 5 minutes after the open much action. Sold more than 1/2 of my position. Another 15k @ 6.98 did not get sold. That's ok. I'll hold till after vote:) No matter what the result is after the vote, I'm happy & did the right thing.

As far as investing. I won't & don't need to do that. I'll buy soon a a 2012 370z. Looking at 2 low mileage cars. A base auto low mileage white-for street & drag racing, and a low mileage Nismo in white to do some fun laps on the racetrack near my house. Did you see my post. "ten minutes from my house"? It's a world quality road tack. Only as a guest. Costs 125k JUST to be a member :icon17:

Sell soon the 1/2 I still have, then wait for a drop. Then buy back before the 4 casino picks come out. Since I know who they are.

Yesterday would have been the day for that, if yesterday's after hours trading holds up. And why sell short as opposed to options? You're taking a lot of risk.
