Default Vendors bumping threads ...

Why do product Vendors on this site "bump" their products every single day.

The New Posts section is 95% Vendor topics. The same guys bumping the same products day after day. Are there any rules on how many times sellers can bump their topics?

Coming from NSXPrime & GolfMK6 ... Vendors can only bump a product thread once a month. Kept a lot of the noise out.

Just curious

I think Vendors posting new photos or product information is valuable and welcomed. Naturally the thread will be bumped when they comment on the thread.

My only annoyance is when Vendors comment on all their product threads; "Happy Holidays", "TGIF" or something insignificant and un-product related, just to secretly bump the threads. Just wondering if there's any regulation on this?

What's the problem with the advertisement? you can bump a thread every 24 hours. These vendors pay this site for advertisement. They are within their rights to do so. You enjoy this site for all the information it provides and links all members through a medium for everything like, sharing photos, ideas, opinions, advice, selling and purchasing used parts and new parts and even cars. This site is helped funded by these vendors so I don't see any problems with their advertisements because I love using this site

I can see both sides of the argument. However, when I see a vendor thread with a thousand garbage bumps, I refuse to even look at what they are selling. One of my biggest pet peeves is a sales person that just dumps white noise instead of bringing some sort of value to the sales pitch... its the tell tale trait of a bad sales rep.

I think as annoying as it may be, it's within their right. Just ignore the multiple posts and move on. Like you said, if
you find a vendor annoying just look past it. I personally wouldn't compare daily bumps with an "annoying sales person" because the former is not in your face selling you something while the latter on the other hand is.

Vendors pay to be on the site and sell and are allowed one bumper per thread every 24 hours. The other reason is some vendors get a chance to do a quick sale on products so they need to bump a specific thread for sales.

Vendors pay so they rule.

This forum is pretty soft on the vendors.

A recent vendor just fired from another vendor for fraud and shady business tactics just popped up as a new vendor.

Money talks....
