Is the AA12 strictly for military or can civilians buy one?

If you can justify it to the ATF, you can get one.

I know you can't just walk into a store, and say, "I want an AA12 please" :bowrofl:

that would be too awesome

You would either need to have a Class III Federal Firearms License and own the weapon as a "demonstrator", or you'd have to be a cop and it would be owned by your department. Other private citizens can't own any fully automatic weapon manufactured after May of 1986.

Any recommendation on gun safes? Looking to purchase a shotgun and an AR but promised the wife I get a safe before doing so. Don't need something that is too large but don't want the cheapest, unreliable brand out there.

Browning makes good safes. So does Liberty.

So as long as it's manufactured prior to 1986 I can own one? As in purchase it so long as it was manufactured before then?

Or would I have to own it pre-ban?
