The Secret Service does not use the Five SeveNs but yes they use Sig Sauer .45 or 357 mag Formerly they used a .357 mag revolver

they also use the P90 after changing from the Israeli made Uzis
a book by a former agent talked about how he hated the Uzis and how they would jam all the time during practice. I also always thought the Uzi was kind of a spray and pray weapon instead of an accurate weapon.

Most federal agencies use the Sigs now except the FBI and US Marshals who still use the Glocks

Which is why I wonder why the military still uses the M9 Beretta 9mm as their sidearm and not the Sigs
im sure it has something to do with politics.....

Yep, you guys are right. There is some conflicting info out on the 'net but checking the pics the guards are carrying the FN P90s and Sig P229 in 357sig.

Not sure, but I do quite like the 92FS.

I just liked the Sigs better. Seemed smoother to me. But I agree the 92 is a good gun and I thought i was a little easier to break down and clean. That could have something to do with it too i guess. Dont need something complicated while in the battlefield

SOME of the military still uses the M9, others use sigs...
Most of the PJ's carried M9s but a few had Sigs.. the seals use sigs, force recon uses Sigs.. hell the Coast guard just placed an order for 10,000 Sigs.. lol
and yes, P90 > Uzi.. never fired a full auto P90, but I have held one, and they are really nice..

haggomyeggo 03-17-2011 10:56 AM

Its crazy (and this probably wont help the opinions of STL) but I found out the Kirkwood Police Dept. uses P90s as their rifles in their cruisers instead of AR15s

.

They generally arrange fairly long term contracts for weapons. Winning a bid usually means you are the supplier for at least 10 or so years.

Ugh. I might end up buying a Glock 19 or 17 this weekend.

Pretty soon you'll be buried in guns.

I need a full grip range & sometimes carry pistol since I don't really want to shoot my dad's Colt much anymore. It's still in great condition and I'd like to keep it that way!

I would not buy one. I wouldn't want anyone to buy one! They may have corrected the error/failure. Maybe that's why it's the FS now, and no longer an F! The thought of a slide breaking off, and being catapulted into my face at over 1000 feet a second. Facial fractures and broken teeth, that's going to hurt!

Agreed. Getting a "matching" piece makes a lot of sense, since you keep some of the feel, and can use the same magazines in both. I love having the XD/XDc combo.

Nevada has the highest unemployment rate, texas is in debt (just like cali) eventually they will have to jump out of their conservative comfort zone and start taxing something, raise the tax or start taxing their citizens.

But let's get back to guns. Like i said in my earlier post, i'm planning on getting the arsenal AK. I'm familiar with 7.62x39 round cause i own a sks. Am i a good or decent shooter??? Nope! It's not easy and it's hard to practice a lot. Although i would like to practice more but during the winter its too damn cold and it' cost money:icon14:

I was looking to get the sgl 21-61. I was at henderson defense's website. They sell the 61 and 71. Both seems the same other than the 71 being $6 dollars more and the 71 has a NATO length buttstock where as the 61 has the WARSAW length buttstock. The NATO is longer where as the WARSAW is standard.
Which one should i get? On another forum someone suggested to get the WARSAW length. My guess is the WARSAW is more common.
What do you guys think?

Oh anyone has experience shooting AK's? If so, any tips?

But in response to the safety of Belgium comment, I'd have to adamantly disagree with the reasoning. In Amsterdam everything is legal. Drugs, hookers, etc. Their crime rates are very low. In the US, said practices are illegal. Our crime rates related to drugs are extremely high.

Google "The Phoenix Solution"

Good read. Guns don't kill people. People who talk out of their a$$ get killed by people with functioning brains.

I hope to one day move to Texas where I can enjoy the weather, food, fishing, conservative philosophy, and no state income tax.
