ACR =)
Remington Defense

Unbelievably I haven't ever held or fired an ACR. I have heard it is kinda bulky and heavy...Is that true?

I have held a SCAR and it defintely does seem pretty bulky, but I think I would get used to that if I owned one.

ive fired it a few times, and buying mine within the next 3 or so months ( guy has 2 of them wants one gone lol).. he put it aside for me, hes holding it for me... since he has close to 45 other firearms, all military/defense. lol
its a blast to shoot (for me at least) its not the lightest thing in the world but for what it is, its pretty decent.

I like the look of the Remmington forearm, but the Bushmaster is pretty sweet too. The idea of a gas-piston, folding stock 5.56 rifle is definitely appealing, but the buffer on the AR makes it so much fun to fire. I would like to fire the SCAR and ACR to see how they feel, but before that I would like to pick up or build a 7.62 AR.

Needless to ask, but will you post some pictures of it when you get it in your hands?

Yessir i certainly will make sure someone will take pictures. AND video.

whether it be remington or Bushmaster.

course the guy is taking the Optics off the gun. .... i fired it with every toy you can get on the thing and all i got to say is... dayum. dayum dayum dayum! Optics ...exc. the works.
and after the first shot (being scared to death then realizing hey this isnt bad at all) my trigger happy finger took off

a majority of the firearms he has, he bought optics for it all.

mine unfortunately will not come with them, however, i did tell him.... "when i get money saved. im contacting you for optics"

his response? "haha whatever you want my man, i got you"

What do you all think of the Springfield 1911 Trophy Match?

I'm looking to buy my first handgun and at first i was looking at the usual suspects (glock, xd, m&p) but my uncle has me 95% convinced that i should just bypass all that and go straight for the 1911

You really can't go wrong with a weapon that has been used since before WWI. The design has withstood the test of time.

If you want a compact, ultra-reliable handgun that is cheap to shoot the Glock 19 is my recommendation for one's first gun.

I am a H&K fanboy, so of course I would suggest looking into the H&K P30 9mm since it is basically the middle ground between the 1911 and Glock in regard to price and reliability. Some 1911s can be a bit fickle requiring a little more love, but a lot of shooters I know swear by them.

xdeslitx 02-03-2012 10:19 AM

Lol my uncle basically told me to just forget about the glock. Id go for the 17 though if i were to buy one because of my big hands.
Been looking at pics of the trophy match last night and its a great looking gun. The way I see it i might as well just get a 1911. Im justifying it like i would with car mods. Which is...dont go cheap haha.
Plus my uncle said hed help me out with the cost of the gun...all i have to do is get my HSC already

Heh, being from Colorado I had to actually looke up "HSC" to figure out what you were talking about. My lord!

Yeah, you can't go wrong with a 1911 especially since there are plenty of gunsmiths that can adjust them if you run into any break-in issues. .45 Auto is a sweet round. Post the pics when you get it!

xdeslitx 02-03-2012 11:23 AM

lol another thing about the glock 19 is that theres no use for me in getting a compact gun since you can't get CCW in cali

oh god i can already seeing myself modding the 1911...my uncle keeps telling me that theres so many mods you can do with the trophy match

m4a1mustang 02-03-2012 11:27 AM

IMO it's probably best to keep your HD gun stock.

xdeslitx 02-03-2012 11:28 AM

why is that steve?
