Loving the .308...next on the list is a ar10 platform...would you recommend the dpms midlife?

I like my DPMS, I haven't shot a lot of rounds through it but I'm a .308 fan. Decide what you want to do with it, if you want to pick it up and blast away go for the AR platform if you want to shoot long range go for a M14/M1A1 style. Keep this in mind DPMS mags can be expensive make sure you have a aftermarket source to purchase them. I also have a Indian made Enfield chambered in .308. It's a bolt action and looks just like a .303 British Enfield and it'll hurt your shoulder if you're not careful.
Happy shooting.

For those of you asking about storing your firearm in your vehicle, keep this in mind. If your car/truck gets broke into and they steel your gun can the cops gig you for not securing your firearm? Almost happened to a friend of mine. Cop told him he could do that but he didn't.

thats crap, MOST cops don't know s#*t about firearm laws (some do),I have at least 4 cops I'm related to and know a lot more an they are almost always wrong when they try to explain the firearm laws, they usually call me asking what they are.
an if u do get in trouble for something u shouldn't be then it's easy to fight it.
best thing for U to do Is learn the laws in your state yourself by reading your states Statutes.

florida's is chapter 790:

We used to do a tactical pistol competition at our club every year. Local PD vs members. Cops never won! LOL

Getting closer to buying a new piece to conceal. Having a hard time deciding between Springfield XDs, Kahr P9, and M&P shield. I've got a guy that built my AR leaning me toward the M&P and doing a trigger job on it. Kinda worried about doing that for a concealed piece though, given the legal issues.

Kimber CDP II! lol I may be partial to it...

if I had to choose of those three M&P. But I really like my kimber. Couldn't imagine using any other firearm for carry.

Nice Piece!!! I have a larger Kimber 1911. The CDP is a little bigger than I'd like. I'm a pretty athletic person and when I'm out I don't always where the baggiest type clothing! lol I want something with a smaller profile. :)

I have the pro (full size grip & 4" barrel) so its a bit larger.

I've looked. :) My main concern with them is the profile. They are a bit thick for my concealed liking. Don't get me wrong! these are BEAUTFUL guns! Everyone dreams of owning them. The smaller Kimber though has been riddled with problems. Unlike that company for sure!

Still running 10 rounders in your compact?

I love H&K guns.
I don't have a MP5 but I do have a H&K USC (45 ACP Carbine).
Been thinking about doing UMP clone with my USC but it is $$$$.
If I do a UMP clone build I might go SBR with it.

Here is my latest H&K
( Click to show/hide )

A HK45 in full FDE.
I added Trijicon night sights and LEM light trigger.
