Here's the family

Here is some of my collection:

Big and little brothers. These are a 20" rifle in 5.56 and a 10.5" pistol in 300 Blackout. That ACOG cost as much as the rest of the rifle it's on :shakes head:

He is on his way to being a supressed SBR in 300 Blackout. Yes, two tax stamps :icon14:

I'm not sure what he's going to be yet. I bought him because my brother gave me a $40 gift card to Cabela's, so I walked in, and ten minutes later I walked out with a receiver for $10 (paperwork is much faster with a CPL). I'm thinking a carbine length .50 Beowulf because why not?

Carry pistols depending on how baggy my clothes for the day will be. A Kimber Ultra CDP ii with CrimsonTrace grips and tritium night sights, and an XDS 9mm with Streamlight tlr-3. It was the smallest that they offered when I bought it, but I'll be upgrading to the tlr-6 soon.

Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt. I reload 280grain cast lead to .44mag velocities and it's so fun to shoot. Very rough on the hands though. I bought the convertible model so I have an extra cylinder in .45 ACP that doesn't get much use

My dedicated truck gun. This is the gun that Kimber likes to pretend that they never made. It's a pro BP ten ii. She's not pretty, but she's proven herself. I've put thousands of rounds through her over the last 13 years, and have only had two jams, both with questionable ammo. This is my second most accurate pistol, so she's earned her place in the center console. 14+1 of .45 ACP in a 1911 is not something to ignore.

I almost forgot about her. She will be a beautiful 1911 some day when she grows up. I even have the wood for her grips

I was at the gun show this last weekend. No good deals on the FN57. Probably going to try when I am in Colorado this fall.
Picked up some other stuff.

Because? Because it was funny as ****. might make it into a 9mm shorty.

Also got a helluva deal on a Glock model 19 Gen3 with lots of upgrades. Was looking for the Gen4, but not at $530!

This has aftermarket grips. Still trying to identify them, But they fit great. Storm lake barrel. Tungsten Guide pin, new slide release in stainless. I still have to look at the trigger at little closer to see what it is. bought a 33rd mag to go along with the others. Went shooting sunday at some large block and bottles of Ice. Fun times with the kid.

I almost went full diy custom build 10/22 but ended up buying a factory built one from Tactical Solutions. Picked up one of their X-Ring Takedowns with the Magpul Backpacker stock a couple of years back. It’s stupid light and very accurate. Mine has a TacSol modded Ruger BX-Trigger which is the only Ruger part in the whole thing other than the mags. One of the reasons I went with TacSol was for the barrel. Their takedown barrels are very accurate and have the best open sights for a takedown 10/22 set up I’ve seen. The rear sight is attached to the rear of the barrel not the receiver so you don’t lose your zero. BTW out of the box zero was dead on. I’m thinking TacSol zeroes or at least bore sights their rifles before they leave the factory. Also the rear sight is fully adjustable and both front and rear sport fiber optic pipes. The sights are so good I have no plans on mounting any sort of optics. You can buy their takedown barrels separately if you already have a Ruger takedown 10/22. I didn’t have a 10/22 when I bought it so figured I’d get the whole rifle. For a 10/22 they are not cheap (IIRC mine was about $800) but I would gladly spend the money on one again if I want another 10/22. They are that good. Now TacSol has updated their X-Ring receiver with a ambidextrous bolt handle call the X-Ring VR which has added about $100 to the price. You can still get the non VR ones on GunBroker.com for about $850.

Got it for christmas. Already upgraded to the bx trigger with a few volquartsen parts. Nikon scope (im in love with the bdc reticle on it) Its stacking rounds with the factory threaded barrel. Im impressed.

Absolutly hate the take down and reassembly of it.

It can be a PITA at times, but gets a lot easier with practice.

The factory barrels are pretty good. The after market ones are just that much better and in the case of TacSol lighter.

Update on the 10/22. Ive shot probly 700rds in the last month. Seriously, cant put the thing down. First hundred rounds i noticed alot of metal shavings in the reciever. It went away. The action is smooth now. The only thing i havnt touched is the barrel. Now with the new stock i have an excuse to take it back out and dial it in again.
