Because they have bad taste.

Honestly, most of the reason the sets of Z base wheels get negative comments is because they're the base, not the extra cost option package, and most, if not all, of the negative comments I've heard about them have been from Z owners. Most non-Z owners have told me they look great. I got complements on them all the time.

Still planning on painting mine. I love the 18s and their cost too much to bump up.

Because they can! I agree w Shado-everybody's Z is personalized-i think your wheels look good! I had no idea they were base until you told me! all in your mind chica-they look good-dont spend a bunch of money changing stuff just because the Jones' think you should... Just my 2cents....
