Good evening everyone :hello:

Mr.alcheng and I had a great day with 5 other forum members, driving our Z's on a really cool stretch of road, then getting lost, only to get lost again, and then getting lost one last time before we said screw it, and went for a nice dinner. Then group photo time. Mr.alcheng was the pro behind the lens. I'm looking forward to doing it again  Good times!

Yes. It won out over "Danger", which was their first middle name choice.

Congrats Mr. Onzedge and family  Beautiful baby

Davey 09-04-2012 06:16 AM

Good morning everyone! :hello:

Congrats, Grandpa onzedge!

I didn't get to go for a drive, it looked awfully overcast and I ended up mowing the yard and helping put some patio furniture together instead. Hopefully they lift the watering ban now so I can get the Z dirty and clean it up when I can.

Everyone have a happy Monday Tuesday and a safe trip to work.

happytheman 09-04-2012 06:30 AM

Davey, have you considered Griots Waterless Wash? It's great stuff for those areas where you can't use water.

Good morning all! :hello:

Going to motor the Z on this lovely Monday (Tuesday??) in 45 minutes. I'm so confused on the day of the week now.

gurneyeagle 09-04-2012 06:35 AM

Good Morning All! :hello:

Best wishes for a great week, especially since it is a short one.

Got my duck tail spoiler back on yesterday. It's not going to come loose again!

Since I am off this Friday (), I'm going to wire my invisicord into the mirror and install my radar detector bracket too. No more dangling cord and suction cups!

Still debating getting my wheels painted. I want to do it, it;'s just going to be a logistical nightmare for a few days. It may happen, but probably not anytime soon.

Lastly - another big "congratulations" mr. onzedge! I'm so happy for you and your family. A baby is such a special thing. Ours is already starting his third year at Texas A&M, and I still remember the day we brought him home.

Have a good week all! :tiphat:

Good morning sir! A big thumbs up for getting your wing remounted. I didn't recall you having one. Pics? :pics:

You're off on Friday too? You lucky bastard! Oh well, it's a good thing I love my job! :)

Did you decide to do the 40th instead of black on your wheels?

Hi guys. Hope everybody had a great Labor day. I see onze did. Worked last night and working tonight. Pint it took me Years to get to where I'm at now. At 20 I had a 1 year old Camaro and was in the Marines. At 30 I had a couple used cars and a 1976 280Z. At 35 I had gone to school and got my RN. 1st new car a Hyundai Accent. The next year traded in on my Nissan Titan. Also had 2 Corvettes. 2 years ago I bought my 370Z. Sold the Corvettes. This year bought the ZL1. I'm up to a $60,000 car from a $2000 car in 1990. Education was key. Keep up the hard work Pint and you will be successfull. You have a much more expensive car than I did at your age. :driving:

Not a wing, a carbon fiber ducktail spoiler.

Before you get too jealous, we work a 9/80; i.e. 9 hours a day Mon thru Thurs, 8 hours on one Friday, and the other Friday off. Theoretically. I usually work 60 - 65 hours a week, and get to take roughly 25% of my "free" Friday's off. This upcoming one is in jeopardy already. If you saw my post on Sunday, you saw I was in the office from 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm on a teleconference with Perth, Australia. Sucked!

Will probably go with the 40th color.

Fire 09-04-2012 08:11 AM

I work 6 12 hour and 1 8 hour shift over two weeks. Every other week I work a 32 hour 3 day weekend. Nice when I have the 3 day weekend but seems like alot of activities I want to attend are on the weekend that I work. But you have to pay to play eh? :ugh2:

Huck 09-04-2012 08:13 AM

Morning gents, I'm back after a decent labor day, ready to get back to the grind. I may be trying to switch jobs if my buddy can let me know when they start hiring again.

Congrats mr onzedge! We're working towards one right now!

If we are going to walk down memory lane, here's my pathetic story:

I've been working since age 15. Always paid for my cars, insurance, gas and maintenance.

Put myself through college. Graduated, got a job, got married at 23 and bought a house. Interest rates at the time (1982) were 20.1%, assuming you could even get a loan. We skipped a fancy wedding and used the money from the wife's parents ($10,000) for a down payment.

Saved, saved, saved and never lived extravagantly. No consumer debt, and tried to pay cash for cars when we could. Never refinanced the house to buy consumer goods or go on vacation.

MAYBE one day I'll get to retire, but that remains to be seen. I doubt I'll ever collect a dime of social security.

Luckily, my son is on a full academic scholarship at Texas A&M (and is in the Corps of Cadets) and is studying Petroleum Engineering. That break is worth at least $150k!

I think you are doing okay ms. pint. The very fact you are concerned about this is good. Just keep plowing away and it will pay off like mr. fire said.

Davey 09-04-2012 08:24 AM

I agree... Pint you're ahead of the curve already if you're in your 20's and know that "I'm OK so long as I'm paying the minimum payment" isn't the way to do things right.

I thought that was "maximum payment" WTH have I been doing all these years? Good advise Davey. I will interject here though. Remember there are no bank teller machines in heaven so why die with a positive balance? :ugh2:

Fire 09-04-2012 09:01 AM

With my wealth of financial advise given I have to get some sleep. Take care guys. NightZ(L1)ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Pintsize725 09-04-2012 09:56 AM

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm trying really hard to get my shiz together. But that's neither here nor there.

Mr. Onze, any new pictures yet? :excited:
