I went to the ford dealer and they didn't have any allocations left. He sent us to another dealer in the area that still had allocations left, but they wouldn't come off of $5k over MSRP. So I walked. Even at MSRP they are making around $6k on the sale. I told the guy that even though I can afford a GT500 I'm still in a budget.

That's BS man. I hope you get a call from them in the next day or so. They must not be interested in selling cars...

seriously, screw markup. It's all overhead. If you really want a bargain, you may have to wait for winter. That usually convinces salesman that the 500+ hp RWD slip 'n' slide out front isn't going to move unless they come down.
