As a barb, pre expansion, I used to love finding those, but now I rarely find any that are worth it and most of the item drops are just STR and VIT. There's a lot of different rolls for each legendary. Elite builds will require a lot of grinding to find good rolls on most/all items. Rare/magic items aren't really useful once you reach max lvl except for salvaging materials. With the higher drop rate, you can find a good base build quickly and go from there.

Before the seasons started, each patch could significant affect one or more elements of game play. I would not be surprised at all if that is the reason you feel that resist all is less common. They also knocked down the monster dmg a lot while increasing base player def. So resists don't have the same impact they once have nor are they as critical.

Plus.. ancient legends..

Blizzard wanted to move away from the legendary grind and move to the versatility of sets.
