You should upgrade ram and video card to comfortably play this game.

What kind of computer did you buy? Was it a Dell, HP, etc? Usually those MIGHT be hard to upgrade GPU because of the PSU (power supply) many of these companies use are cheap crap. Ram is like installing a K&N filter on your car. Find the correct one (for your car, or in this case, computer), and plug and play. Nice analogy eh? :tup:

I didn't direct download because it was an impulse buy (I also bought SC2) and because for games, I don't like having digital copies. I prefer hard copies for 'proof' that I actually have the game.

Officially staying away from Diablo 3 haha. D2:LOD took over my life when I played back in the day. Seriously had all the characters maxed out with the best gear. It was fun while it lasted though.

Almost all decent new computers will have the processor and RAM specs to play the game so you are mostly concerned with getting the best video card for your money. The link twinturbonet provided has lots of choices with decent video cards under "gaming" for under 600 bucks.

I can't believe there are items in the game that are worth more money than the game itself. Something seems terribly wrong with that imo, but then again there's no way I'd ever pay real money for some stupid item in a game to begin with...

I remember selling someone a hat through PayPay for Diablo 2 LOD for around $300. It was a very rare unique that they subsequently nerfed. Paid for the game, the expansion pack, and likely many months of service from my ISP :).

Personally I likely won't buy any items for D3, but what is the difference between this and downloadable content you pay for -- outfits for your xbox 360 avatar, extra cars for Forza, extra maps for COD, etc... Lot of games have micropurchases -- especially phone and tablet games. I don't think this is much different when the price is like $1 or $3 -- but $250? wow.

I gave in and bought $200 worth of stuff in the RMAH. Call me lazy =P

Lol my level 60 WD only does 35k dmg (not buffed).

My main issue is, I get ONE hitted for like 58k dmg and die instantly. Pisses me off.

that is were diamond skin comes in...

gives you that extra hit advantage...but that is about it...

so you have two options..


build a vita build... and survive maybe 2-3 hits...

or build a dps/increased attack speed....

die on a 1 hitter, or 2 with diamond skin... but be able to provide damage...


either way... expect to die in inferno A BUNCH of times.

I'm running 5 characters simultaneously -- more or less leveling them about 5-10 levels apart. This way I have 5x chances to find good gear without resorting to the AH -- RM or gold. It's slow going cause I can't play that often, but I'm experiencing all the skills way earlier than if I took them through Inferno sequentially. Also makes it easy to vendor junk -- If even my lowest level character won't want to wear it in a couple of levels, it's junk.

I am currently botting this game till I get banned. I found some uniques but most of the stuff I have found are useless so far. I did make 50 dollars already.

Im at 52 hard core monk finishing up act 2 on hell. Inactive past few weeks.

I got through most act 3 on softcore inferno.. i think im done.

Level 60, just built a gold find suit that gives me 235% without the Templar. With the Templar, I'm at 275% (I think). After 5 Nephalem Valor stacks, I'm at 335% GF.

Just trying to make that money. I basically gold farm Hell or Nightmare, The Heart of Sin.

I've decided to try and unlock the pony level

It's pretty cool, but don't let your guard down thinking it's easy! lol.

lvl 60 Barb through A3 Inferno - decent tank but only does <10K dmg so my party allies do all the killing. Life is 55K, Armor is 10K, Dmg Reduction is 80%, Resist Reduction is ~75%

lvl 56 DH still in Hell. Need to gear up but Inferno is way more fun with the Barb right now.

RMAH is freaking awesome... I just sold a set piece bid-only that went for $15 this week. I pretty much have 10 items at all times, and about 50% of everything I list gets sold. Although most of them only fetch ~$1, I've made nearly $70 so far.

I tried to set my paypal account up and I get stuck at "Your phone is VOIP and cannot set up via SMS"... I have a sprint EVO and have no idea wtf blizzard is talking about. A buddy of mine has the same phone and is set up fine.

Until I get that fixed, all my RMAH is going to a blizzard balance which can't be cashed out. SUCKS.

Lol, it's not a computer I need. I need to figure out why my phone number is linked as VOIP. I guess I need to call Blizzard and ask them why my phone is considered VOIP.
