It transfers power to the front wheels nicely and is very responsive in "Sport" mode. I'm not a fan of the way it shifts in manual mode. You don't get that feeling & sound of gears engaging as you complete a shift. Yes, the CVT does help maximize miles per gallon when driving smoothly.
