They've all got their uses. Wordpress is the most powerful and most flexible. tumblr is great if you're a hipster or 15 years old. Or if you don't want to setup Wordpress. Blogger is bottom of the barrel in my opinion.

Before coming to Vivid, I did web development work and I still do some stuff on the side. Wordpress is by far the most powerful, most flexible, and for me it's the easiest to work with.

I write for a growing tech site and my own blog -- both use WordPress.

Echoing the above, WordPress is the most powerful out-of-the-box solution on the market that I'm aware of. It has a huge community behind it, and the software itself is very stable and fast.

Tumblr is kind of neat for what it is, but it isn't professional at all. Blogger CAN be good, but it is incredibly limiting, and is better suited for someone who wants to keep their thoughts contained to their circle of friends, imo.
