so i considered going to walmart to buy the 32" samsung LCD on sale ($278 plus tax) last night for my mom for christmas. dad, my stepmom and i ventured out around 10pm to try to pick up some blu rays (an utter failure) and decided against trying to come back for the tv since there was already people surrounding it waiting for them to cut the plastic off. felt kinda bummed but hoped that i'd be able to find that one or a similar one online sometime between today and next week. ended up finding a 32" LG LED-LCD for $299 with free shipping (and no tax) on newegg. no waiting in line, no hassle, done deal
