glad to see your field psychoanalysis test accepted as the new standard for evaluating potential to commit a crime. I look forward to our minority report-esque future.
again you are speaking on a subject you have ZERO knowledge on...
when you are deployed with someone, you get to know their personal life VERY well.. you eat sleep and sometimes even **** with these people...

when you have been deployed and learned what one learns when you are with someone 24/7 then speak.
till then stfu.

I never said all marines are wife beaters, nor did I say they are all crazy... so take your beef and move on

support your claim that there is a higher rate then

I've done my time overseas in "undisclosed locations" with people in every branch. You don't get where I am without that background.

Just like you can't bash a race unless you are part of that race. You can't bash the military unless you are in the military.

Even then it's completely tasteless.

And I have worked with several service men and women from each branch. I know marines who are better family men than you can imagine.

yea my dad and i were discussing nascar (truly, the whipping boy of the auto racing industry) and while i agree, there are some more simple aspects to it (left hand turns only, carb'd N/A small blocks, etc), it takes a massive, massive amount of talent to be good at that kind of racing. i forget who the driver was but dad was talking about an interview he had heard where the person giving the interview to the driver asked "what do you have to say about the people who criticize the sport?" he replied "just think to yourself how uptight you get in bumper to bumper traffic in a large city where you've got 5 lanes moving 70mph or more. now imagine almost tripling the speed, riding 10x closer behind the person in front of you with another right behind you and doing it all day long. now imagine that every time you turn you are basically drifting towards the center line and hoping that the guy in front or behind you doesn't screw up. after you've done that, you can judge my athleticism and driving ability". that wasn't the exact words but that was the gist. i've always had a massive respect for anyone who is a professional racing drive in any field of cars or bikes. any "nascar haters" out there have probably never experienced anything close to what those guys go through. yes FIA, ALMS, LMS, etc series races takes it that one step farther by adding more turns in both directions and doing it for longer but that doesn't mean that nascar is easy by any stretch of the imagination.

by the same token, i have respect for anyone in the military. army, marines, air force, navy and even the coast guard. nothing like that is easy, tho i might like to joke about it from time to time. their service allows me to do the things i do freely (well, at least somewhat) and i thank every person who serves.

just like product loyalty there is a sort of branch loyalty. Even for those who have nevered served. When I joined I actually went to 2 different recruiters (Army and AF). The AF got me in faster. I served 7 yrs in the AF. When they started to reduce my career field I switched to the Army. There are some cultural differences, but more the most part as different as individuals want to believe each service is they are very similar. I kid marines but they usually bring it upon themselves. I don't take offense when the AF slams the Army. I just tell them I have a point of view from both services and I know which is better and why.

But what I've been told by a couple of Soldiers how use to be marines was that they had to have a 1 yr break in service to join any other service after the marines. They seem to think it was to give time to resocialize after leaving the marines.

BLUF: military personnel are very loyal to their unit their service and the country. We will always "put down" other services while highlighting our own. It's like when brothers argue, just don't get in the middle or you will face off against us all.

That's coming from someone who doesn't know what's going on or what military leaders are trying to do about it. Why these stats have gone up in all services. You see me and isamu going back and forth all the time about army and AF. Our feelings don't get hurt it's part of military life just like rivals of sports teams. In the end we are all brothers in the service and will work to raise up those who need it follow those who lead and remove those who can't adjust to the military lifestyle.

you are 100% correct. I know plenty of guys who have swapped branches... marines to AF, AF to army, army to Marines... but no one every goes to the navy from another branch... lol. All in all, they will all talk **** about their previous branch, and all other branches of service. but when I was deployed they weren't Marines, or soldiers, they were fellow military personal...

I would gladly sit in a fox hole with you man, not just because you have those shiny oak leaves either...

I know all about that attitude. I worked amongst military personnel for a long time.

You know what? It doesn't matter. Do what you want, offend the marine corps to your heart's content. You won't hear me trash talk them.

I'm sorry that I offended you and most importantly any marines that may have read the posts. I want to say that I truly don't believe that every marine is an abuser.

Wow,i missed out on a bunch. two questions:
How many Marines does it take to screw in a light bulb?
( Click to show/hide )
50, 1 to screw in the bulb and 49 to guard him.

How many federal employees does it take to screw in a light bulb?
( Click to show/hide )
Sorry, that item was cut from the budget!
