I catch him on the next curve. They slow down away too much.

The funny thing is the "customized to a car you own" function isn't always predictable. I was offered a race for a car I owned, but wasn't currently driving. So I go change into that car and that same race is not offered. :icon17: |
Well I'm guessing I not going to need to worry too much about what classes I own. Some of my FMIII cars imported over, so I think I have most classes covered.

My only real gripe is that if you take a corner like you should -- slow in, fast out -- you get rammed in the back by the AI. It's like they want every lap to be a late-braking-drift-around-the-corner-seat-of-the-pants sorta thing. The AI in F3 were slow, but at least they were out of the way by midway through the first lap and you could concentrate on driving clean fast laps. |

What I DONT like is that when you go to upgrade by joining the race, your ONLY option is to automatically upgrade. And what dont they put in? A fvcking differential. I did that w/ my Fiesta and it was fast....or COULD have been if it was able to put the power down. I had to leave the race and put in a race differential, and man, it suddenly became a fast-as-fook car. BTW, when a race is offered for a car you currently arent driving, just try to go into the race anyway. It'll pop up that you're driving the wrong car, and then give you the option to switch - thats the ONLY way to get the event that was offered. If you switch BEFORE attempting to join, yes, the events will change out. |

But still its far easier to just rewind until you get turn 1 nailed pretty good and just go straight to 3rd or 2nd right off the bat, than struggling to catch up all race. Well Ive found the AI does an interesting mix of VERY early braking, and ridiculously late braking lol. I saw some AI that was in 1st go WAY off track on the opening lap because of late braking... |

Lemers, accept my fwen wekwest so I can invite you to the car club.
I'm loving the game so far, but I agree with the problem of starting you near the end of the grid always. One of the Gran Turismo games gave you the option to qualify for the race. And while that would take some of the challenge out, it also meant you weren't stuck behind god awful slow cars going into turn 1. I'm loving the 370z in this game. I drive it as much as I can. I currently have an A-spec 370 and an S-spec 370, and they're both tremendous fun. |

I didnt see what mods were done to it...but I didnt like it much. Too much HP and not enough handling it seemed to me... |

It fishtails on the straights if you're not careful :roflpuke2: Oh, and I believe Cwiz swapped it to an AWD drivetrain and may have thrown a GTR engine in it. AWD might explain the poor handling. |

For those in the club that like handling over power. Try the 240z and the 300zx I uploaded to the shared garage. They are D and C class respectively.

Bought my copy yesterday but the "wife" won't let me play it.....being married is already having its pitfalls.
I'll be on tonight for sure. Pending my XBox doesn't take 4 hrs to update since it has not been online in quite a while. XBOX Live Handle: WhtFairladyZ |

Cool. I'll check it out. In Forza 3 I almost always upgraded for handling with typically very light engine mods. It seemed to me the optimal upgrade was from the bottom middle of a class (in PI) to the max PI for that class. If you start with a car too close to the max PI for the class, you didn't have enough room for all the adjustable handling mods. On the other hand, if you started too low -- like a car in the middle of the next lower class, it never seemed quite as competitive. I know the PI assignments have changed somewhat in F4 so maybe the "sweet spot" is somewhere else this time around |

I have had to change my approach somewhat in FM4 because changing tire compound really seems to bumps up the PI level. Well, at least on the 240sx and some of the other low end cars I have been using. I haven't tried one of my higher end cars yet so tire compound may translate to less of a PI change if the game assumes that the starting tires on each car has a different level of grip. :ugh2: Anyone know if we can import our designs from FM3? If we can, how? I want my 370z design back, but would prefer not to recreate it. |

And the drag radials at long last! Now they just need to make the drag racing fun..

This is the second time Forza featured the 370 and both times it was a sport package missing the rear spolier lol. You would think someone would have noticed by now.

O thought that no 11 mustang was messed up. It was the most talked about new car of the year. But I believe that did that to force us to buy a car pack.

I think the Stang comes in the Limited Edition trailer park box set.

So where on ForzaMotorsport.net do you find the pictures you took that are uploaded?
|
you getting the fanatec? you wont regret it... i love the damn thing... that load cell braking takes getting used to but once you tweak it.. you can set it up to have full braking power with about 2 inches of travel ..hardly no effort...
