I do like the old ones, Star Wars and Empire, but thats about it. oh well, I guess I will wait for the DVD and give it a try. I will probably say you guys were right when I see it but I just remember how many people loved star wars phantom menace at first and then I saw it and it stunk.

You will kick yourself for not seeing in the thearter!!!! Trust your fellow 370z members!! Go check it out!!

I too was a fan of the older star wars movies...couldn't get into the "menace" 3. The Star Trek movie is great!

Saw it last night, amazing movie! Was very impressive and better than I expected! And i'm *NOT* a Star Trek fan.. so maybe that's why I liked it.. Maybe die-hard Trek fans hated it, I dunno.

never saw the previous ones, well maybe one. but, I loved it. even the gf liked it despite calling me a nerd (jealous). lol. but its cool. makes me wanna start watching the older ones

Trust me go see. I know a few people that aren't fans of the Star trek but after watching it they said they loved the movie.

I saw it at the Imax, was really good and I'm not a trekky.

sylenze 05-13-2009 03:31 PM

i think the fact there isnt a negative comment in this thread shows how this is a good movie...considering that people are extremely sensitive in forums...

or maybe there isnt a star treck fan in this forum at all...

I've seen it twice already. But the Imax experience wasn't all that great. The actions scenes were just to blurry.

You sure you weren't at a LIEMAX theater?

IMAX or LIEMAX? - Google Maps

I would like to go see it but I can only picture that Chris Pine as a god damn hippie from Bottle Shock and it's hard to make the leap to starship captain.

If anything I will see it for the special effects alone, see what all the fuss is about.

I just found out recently that I was at the fake imax LOL. I can't believe they have a smaller version of Imax but charges you the same price. The fake one is about 29feet and the real one is 72feet. What a F*ing rip. But some of the actions scenes were hard to see because it was just to blurry.
