If a coworker asks you, that's completely inappropriate. It only breeds discontent. People negotiate their salaries 1-on-1. If you find out that Joey McSlackazz is making 5k more a year, you'll get mad, even if it was your fault for not negotiating better when you took the job.

I'm only working at an internship now so I still get paid hourly. Don't really think that matters too much compared to an actual salary. I wouldn't mind telling close friends and family exactly how much I make, but outside of that no one needs to know. Although I have been tempted to ask my supervisor how much he makes. Mostly just to get an idea of how much I would get if I got a full time job working here after I graduate.

It is different when talking to a supervisor, or when you're interning, but if you're on a team of professionals, there's no reason to ask that question. Just comb job openings to see what the industry standard is and measure yourself that way.
