There was a Genesis forum banner at the top that talked about seeing 370Z's in the rearview. I think AK was running around under the name genesisfanboi, AK370Z was banned and alefcole was an administrator.

I always looked at the nismo model as being a bit overpriced for what you got, it is nice and exclusive. I always look at things such as that I could upgrade myself and get better for the same money, but who knows.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm typically "that guy" who pays a little extra for the nameplate (z06, ws6, ss, gt, so on), but I don't know if it's ever really been worth it ... well, maybe the z06.

i view the nismo variant as a good overall package with a lot of bang for buck compared to the compeition. my friend has one and i've put as many miles on it as he has (~3k right now). are there better parts out there for less? yes but with the nismo you get a car that's a decent car to drive daily and still track it on the weekends with a factory warranty on all the parts, hard to argue with that. yes you do have to pay for the exclusivity though. or you could find one, like my friend, with 400 miles on it and pay $10k less than sticker (no it wasn't wrecked either)

I would agree on the Z06, though I have always been a fan of having that exclusive vehicles most do not have. Just not this:

That is true, very hard to look over a warranty on a car you know you can track with and be fine if you take it in. Good deal your friend got, the last two 08 nismo models I saw on lots were going for just over 30k (I believe MSRP was above 40k for the 08s?).

his sticker was $39,050 his is the red color which is extra $$$, he got it for right ~$30k. they have an 08 nismo at the dealer here in hickory, its sticker's around 38,500 i think and when i was looking at it (while bringing my friend's in for the air bag check recall no less) the salesman was like "oh yea, that ones got a rebate on it!" "how much?" "$1000!!!!" "........:ugh2:"
