I'm sure it was just the Dyno being busted... no way you Lost HP with an airflow improovement. Blame the Dyno!! :stirthepot: lol

I am not really all that sad, yes some people are going to come in and be like, aww that sucks, well whatever. Maybe the battery should have be reset, maybe with a tune I will get above average numbers down the road. Just going to find the next item to add to the list and go from there.

wow what intake did u get? how come it became loss of hp?

Caravanshaka 08-11-2009 12:00 PM

it sucks hot air, without cold air reaching it won't make much of an improvement. I expected a little gain though :(

theDreamer 08-11-2009 12:01 PM

I do not think it was the fact it was pulling hot air, the A/F ratio is over 1 which means there is no way I could gain power. If I could balance it out back to stock with the same intake (Takeda) I am sure there would be a few HP gain, but I need a tune to do that.

Caravanshaka 08-11-2009 12:11 PM

that should have been tuned by the tubing diameter of the intake. If it is causing your A/F ratios to become more rich, they didn't do their research/testing.

theDreamer 08-11-2009 12:13 PM

Yep, also I am not trying to defend these things, I would not buy them again, but they are on and will stay for the time until I figure some things out with what is going on.

Caravanshaka 08-11-2009 12:16 PM

+rep for the intiative to order and do the testing on these things!

Hopefully you can figure something out that will give you increases with the setup.

theDreamer 08-11-2009 12:17 PM

Maybe, but from seeing these (SRI) and others similar I think that if you want gains without a tune you have to go Stillen or maybe the new Injen system. Will a tune help? Maybe, but I definitely am not going to bet on it.
