ok real question here.... do you get better gas mileage by keeping a steady foot or by using cruise control on long trips at highway speeds?

Good luck on finding anything on me. I keep everything off the internet, yet am on it all day. ;)
I always thought cruise control was worse for your MPG at highway speeds, because your car will slow down while going downhill and speed up while going up. |
i heard for best gas mileage is little spurts of acceleration and then coast for a bit is the way to go.
so spurt...coast.....spurt....coast.....etc |
I never use cruise control, ever!! But I'm driving to Ohio today and it's about a 13 hour drive. So I should cruise control most of the way except through west virginia? I'm gonna put this to the test and let you know when I get back how it went
put mine to the test?
I use cruise control in neighborhoods, lol.
i never use cruise control, it's just not meant for Montreal roads.
ppl cut you off, so slam the brakes and cruise control is off.....then there's the cars that cause traffic......too common to get cut off is my point |
lol i've never used Cruise Control in my life :(
my cars don't have control over my cruising
I'll never own a car without it.
i like to pedal to the metal
Have used mine once in my Z going to Austin. Road was fairly flat and I was in no mood to really push the speed, just a nice drive.
