i remember making a functional flat bed towing truck with turning wheels to tow my car models i made.

the bed also went up and down, took forever to get the truck right

I liked to make fully fuctional medival weaponry (Trebuchet's, Ballistas, Onnagers) and about 70 different types of what was then 'futuristic' aircraft/spacecraft.

My best one was a 5,000 piece aircraft carrier... took 2 & a half hours to build. Had working elevators and mini F-14's to put on the deck.
